I didn't have any problems when I was working in the "old" blogger. But this new version, while sleek, seems to not want to work the way the old one did.
I am frustrated.
So if any of you have any suggestions on how I can embed videos better, please offer them up.
Don't misunderstand. I can upload videos from my computer, but I don't have the ability to embed them from other sources.
Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Ever since I downloaded the free program Windows Live Writer, life is easier. You link it to your blog, update and save all from the program. No more weird blogger spacing! No more losing a half written blog! And the vids? Just put the link into LW and it posts perfectly. Can you tell I love it? ;)
Haven't tried to embed a video lately, so I wasn't aware of the problem. Jessica's solution sounds good, though. Think I might try that myself.
i use wordpress, so i'm not much of a help here. what jessica said sounds good. :)
