Since reading a lot is essential to being a good writer, I can even tell myself I'm "working on" my writing. ;)Linda G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04576828490765434497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-445891270175343909.post-12764769637893661812011-04-28T11:53:36.505-05:002011-04-28T11:53:36.505-05:00Read. but not just anything...read in the genre th...Read. but not just anything...read in the genre that you are currently working on...if it's YA, what type of YA? for contemp YA I highly reccommend anything by Sarah Dessen or Elizabeth Scott..or OR! INVINCIBLE SUMMER by Hannah Moskowitz...for literary YA, LHA is the indisputable queen...WINTERGILRS is my fave...and SPEAK of course, but everyone and their mothers has read that...for historical, BETWEEN SHADES OF GRAY by Ruta Sepetus...for boy MC, John Green is always good...also, VIOLENCE 101 by Denis Wright

oh, and of course, music. SEETHER is my muse...so pick someone else. i don't share well ;)

and then, if both those fail to kickstart your writing, i find that marathoning channels like Discovery, NatGEO, and The History Channel bring about inspiration...don't ask me how, but it works.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13612218172442721987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-445891270175343909.post-79216764788002366392011-04-28T11:37:06.442-05:002011-04-28T11:37:06.442-05:00i'm in a drought as well. i'm hoping it...i'm in a drought as well. i'm hoping it's because i've got moving on the brain, but really, i haven't written in a couple weeks and that thought, disturbingly, doesn't bother me. i hope this doesn't last long. it's making me nervous.abby mumfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15945527585028871186noreply@blogger.com
